Aldeburgh
Situated on the stunningly beautiful East Suffolk Heritage Coast our newly refurbished Aldeburgh Office is close to the market towns of Woodbridge, Framlingham and the world famous Concert Hall of Snape Maltings. Aldeburgh is a highly fashionable destination for holidays and remains largely the same as it has been for decades. While fishermen still sell their daily catch from huts on the beach, the high street boasts a number of award-winning restaurants and bistros. Aldeburgh provides the backdrop to a rich musical heritage, with Benjamin Britten’s world renowned Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts held in June.
Nearby Framlingham was voted the number one place to live by Country Life Magazine in 2006 and in 2005 it was runner-up in the contest to find England's favourite market town. This attractive market town is dominated by a Norman castle which was the seat of the Earls and Dukes of Norfolk and the Mere alongside the castle is managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust with a circular footpath enabling visitors to appreciate the abundance of wild flowers and wildlife.
Nestling near the head of the tidal reaches of the River Deben, Woodbridge has been chosen as an ideal place for a settlement for over 1200 years and this location is still highly sought after. Other landmark sights include the much-photographed historic Tide Mill and Buttrum's Windmill and across the river is the Anglo-Saxon burial ground of Sutton Hoo operated by the National Trust. Once you are in Woodbridge there are a host of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants to visit, all serving things that are just that little bit different from anywhere else.
