Globrix
Visit Globrix
Globrix is different because Estate agents don't have to go to them with a list of properties to promote online, they go to them. Or rather, their ultra-clever software does. It tracks down almost every single estate agent in the UK and scours their websites, coming back with a nearly perfect list of what's available to buy. They do more than just list the homes that are for sale or rent. Globrix allows users to sort through results by keywords. Looking for a house with a pool? Or off-street parking? Or even a nuclear bunker? Globrix now allows you to do this, saving you time and helping you find your perfect home.
The Property Ombudsman (TPO)
Visit The Property Ombudsman (TPO)
The Property Ombudsman (TPO) provides fair and reasonable resolutions to disputes between members of the public and estate agents who are members of the TPO Scheme or who have registered with the TPO under the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) Approved Estate Agents Redress Scheme. Firms who are members follow the TPO Code of Practice for Residential Sales, which has been approved by the OFT under the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.
Twitter
Visit Twitter
Twitter started in March of 2006 as a side project. It has now the fastest growing social network on the whole of the internet. Users send SMS style messages with a maximum of 140 characters (called ‘micro-blogging) to their friends completely free. Through Twitter’s own search engine and other third parties, users also broadcast these 140 characters to the world. This means that real-time news is now available on the internet!
