Within these pages you will find a selection of lovely houses presently on the market, together with insightful commentary upon the effects of the Stamp Duty changes implemented in April and speculation as to the impact on the property market of the EU referendum, a topic of much debate both within our offices and amongst our clients. Equally, I do hope you enjoy the features on some of our exceptional people based in Suffolk and Norfolk, including Henrietta Inman, who created a masterpiece of a ‘birthday cake’ for us (which we thoroughly enjoyed), the energetic Davina Barber who hosts the Norfolk by Design Art Exhibition and our very own David Bedford, (also known as father by James, Michael and myself!) Whilst most of the country was undoubtedly celebrating England’s sporting achievements during the summer of 1966, or watching the first episode of PAUL BEDFORD Live long and prosper ‘Our offices are consistently dealing with enquiries from those coming up from more affluent counties in the south’ Star Trek, father was putting his best foot forward elsewhere, opening Bedfords’ first office, in Swaffham. Since then, the business has seen two jubilees, seven recessions, nine Prime Ministers and the birth of the internet – yet sadly no more World Cup trophies. Like father, we are all incredibly proud of our business. We are still very much a family business, and our heritage and passion for providing the very best for our clients remains our core philosophy, which will see us through the next 50 years in estate agency, until 2066.
