The ‘Looking Great and Feeling Fabulous’ Fashion Show took place in May in the Garden Pavilion at the Thursford Collection and featured professional models alongside those in remission or receiving treatment, modelling clothes kindly supplied by Jarrolds of Norwich. Following on from successful events that we promoted and sponsored last year, we have joined forces once again with the local community to help promote two more-high profile events this year. Once more in support of St Elizabeth Hospice, a worthy charity which cares for over 2,000 people each year, some of the loveliest gardens in Ufford were opened to the public on the afternoon of June 5th, offering a rare opportunity to enjoy some classic English gardens. Ufford is a charming village with a rural aspect on the outskirts of Woodbridge and under sunny skies a wonderful day was had by all. On the 16th July, the ever- popular and long-running Grundisburgh Village Show will take place; the marquee will be full of amazing exhibits from the biggest/ most oddly-shaped vegetables to flower arranging, photography and a children’s section. Outside are side shows, activities, bands, bouncy castle, vintage cars and a car boot sale – something for everyone of all ages with refreshments. The event promises to be a great success and a wonderful day out for the family and we are proud, as ever, to be invited to sponsor and promote these local events. www.stelizabethhospice.org.uk Looking great and feeling fabulous Woodbridge supports Hospice The evening was a great success, and we enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with former clients and friends. www.macmillan.org.uk News COMMUNITY JAMES BAILEY Regular visitors to our Burnham Market office may have noticed an unfamiliar face in the office every Wednesday this year; James Bailey has been assisting us one day a week whilst completing his degree at UEA with a view to joining us full-time as a trainee negotiator once he has completed his finals. At the time of going to print, James has sat his last exam and nervously awaits his results… best of luck, James! Rachel Lapworth The Bury sales team has been strengthened by the return of Rachel, who worked in the Woodbridge Office in its infancy. Rachel started in media, working with the BBC in London for many years before establishing herself as a respected estate agent in East Anglia, working with Emmerson for many years. Out of the office, Rachel enjoys the finer things in life, together with long walks with her family at Pin Mill or Ickworth Park. Rachel has also very much kept the staff ‘sweet’ with a regular supply of fabulous cakes! New talent We welcome two new members to the Bedfords team…
