Our Aldeburgh office occupies a high-profile, central location in the middle of the High Street in one of Suffolk's most sought-after coastal towns, at the heart of the Heritage Coast. Originally a traditional fishing town, Aldeburgh stands on the coast, between The River Alde and the North Sea at the end of one of the UK's longest shingle spits, Orford Ness, and now offers superb recreational facilities including sailing, golf, fishing and walking. The town also provides a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. Local attractions include Snape Maltings, the home of the Aldeburgh Music Festival and the Food Festival, just inland to the west; Dunwich Heath and Minsmere Bird Reserve to the north, and the local Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The office was opened in 2003 by Michael Bedford, who still heads it up. Michael has over 20 years' experience in handling the sale and purchase of high-quality, individual town, country and coastal property at all levels of the market. He has settled in the area and is an integral part of both the local business and resident communities, getting involved in a wide variety of activities.
The office covers a wide geographical area stretching along the Suffolk Heritage Coast from The Shotley Peninsula to Southwold taking in hotspots like Woodbridge, Orford, Aldeburgh and Walberswick. We then sweep inland to the west, as far as the A140, where we meet with our Bury St Edmunds office; selling country houses, barn conversions and cottages in the pretty villages that surround our county town and other attractive market towns dotted amongst our largely unspoilt, undulating open countryside.
