Company Profile

For 55 years the name Bedfords has been synonymous with first-class service and quality advice in East Anglia. Founded by David Bedford in 1966, Bedfords remains a family-run business to this day, specialising in the sale of individual character properties ranging from substantial country, town and coastal houses, farmhouses, thatched cottages and barn conversions through to new-builds and developments.

Our three offices are strategically located in some of East Anglia's most sought-after spots. Burnham Market in North Norfolk is conveniently placed for visiting Holkham Hall, long walks on Brancaster Beach, seal trips at Blakeney and exploring the medieval village of Walsingham. Aldeburgh on the East Suffolk Heritage Coast and nearby Woodbridge are both convenient for the world-famous Concert Hall at Snape Maltings, as well as the market town of Framlingham.

The historic Cathedral Town of Bury St Edmunds is a short distance from the racing centre of Newmarket, and Cambridge, and is within a good commute from London via main line rail connections or by road via the A14 and M11.

This network of offices is complemented by the Mayfair Office, co-ordinating over 350 like-minded independent agencies throughout the UK. This, combined with a high local profile and excellent regional and national marketing, enables properties to be sold throughout Suffolk and Norfolk and into North Essex and East Cambridgeshire.

Our knowledge of the area and market gets results. For many people, Bedfords is, and quite rightly so, the professional voice of property in Suffolk and Norfolk.
