Business…but not as usual

13 May 2020

The Government have now detailed how the property market can resume. As part of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2020, the Government has now removed its restrictions on residential sales.

Viewings and market appraisals can now be carried out, along with visits by photographers, Domestic Energy Assessors and floor-plan technicians.

This is a pivotal development and we anticipate that the Government will provide further guidance as to safety arrangements as soon as possible to ensure that we, our clients and local communities can conduct business safely.

The new regulations provide clarity allowing us to deal with pent-up demand from buyers. It’s also a step towards reinvigorating the housing market and of course it will be a boost to the economy on a wider scale.

Safety remains absolutely paramount and we urge everyone to ensure that they follow up-to-date Government guidelines closely to protect the wider community. Rest assured, we will ensure that viewings, market appraisals and other necessary visits are conducted with appropriate social distancing and personal protective equipment.
